Biography

Buki has over 15 years of experience working in the media, across multi-platforms in Film, TV and Radio. As a former BBC producer, making content for BBC1, BBC2, Radio1 and 1Xtra.

She was one of the founding members of Radio 1 and 1Xtra’s pioneering award-winning visualization department, enhancing digital visual radio experience by producing multi-platform content, and has a proven track record of producing high-quality innovative programmes, particularly in the youth sector.

Her extensive work has ranged from directing, producing and editing BBC 1Xtra’s Jamaica 50th Independence documentary, producing the visual content for Radio 1’s Sony awarding winning Hackney Academy project, as well as filming and editing numerous live performances for Radio 1 world famous Live Lounge brand.

Buki left the BBC to pursue a freelance career as a videographer, director and photographer working across entertainment, cultural and business/corporate sectors. Since leaving she has worked on several behind the scenes for music videos and photo shoots, live performances in Nigeria and Ghana, documentaries and countless events, and interviews.

Her trademark style of video and photography brings a mature and unassuming presence that extracts the candid thoughts of the subject to create warm, personable and engaging content.
